20 ft. dog leash gives my Dog freedom

I take my Labrador Service Dog Casey on long walks to keep him fit and some areas are wooded terrain. I want to let him enjoy himself sniffing and jogging along beside me and a long leash is just what is required. The lease is thin nylon and the hook is small that attaches to his Dog harness but so far it has withstand me holding him back from running on several occasions. This lease has done a good job so far and hasn't broken.
